What is Ethereum?
以太坊是一個去中心化且開源的區塊鏈平台，支援其原生加密貨幣以太幣（ETH），並支援智能合約與去中心化應用程式（dApps）。 以太坊由 Vitalik Buterin 於 2013 年發表的白皮書中首次提出，並於 2014 年透過公開群眾募資籌得 1830 萬美元的比特幣資金。ICO 期間，以太幣的發行價格為 0.311 美元，總計發行超過 6000 萬枚。依據目前價格，早期投資人已獲得超過 270% 的年化報酬率，每年的投資回報幾乎達到四倍。 以太坊主網於 2015 年 7 月 30 日正式啟動，代號為「Frontier」。其後進行了數次重大升級，包括 Constantinople、Istanbul、Muir Glacier、Berlin 和 London。 以太坊的目標是成為全球性的去中心化應用平台，讓軟體能夠在不受審查、不中斷及無第三方干預的情況下運行。
